Joe Treichel and Jace Barbera first had the idea of a performance boat rental company more than 20 years ago.

Friends since their college days in Eau Claire, WI, they have always thought the idea of a then, niche market, of renting high performance ski and wake surf (20 years ago wakeboarding) boats had legs.

Let's face it, owning a boat is a ton of work and the cost of entry in the wakeboard and wake surf boat arena comes at a hefty price and steep learning curve. From the outlay of cash, to the storage, insurance, maintenance, and not to mention hassle of getting it on the lake or to/from the cabin can be a real drag on the overall experience.

Joe and Jace's love of boating, lake life, skiing, surfing and just being on the water has not diminished one bit. Still, the more expensive the boats got, the harder it was to justify buying them when you only have a week or two Up North or a few days a month that might work between kids sports to get on the lake.

Hence, the creation 20 years in the making, Wake Surf Boat Rental. Like probably most of you reading this, Joe and Jace have rented pontoons and common runabouts, but as their kids got older and more and more of their friends were learning to wakeboard and wakesurf, more and more did they look for opportunities to rent high performance boats. Yet, the opportunities were few and far between. There were just no boat rental companies that had, nor wanted to, rent boats that could cost over $100,000.

Well that all changes in 2021! WakeSurf Boat Rental specializes in renting high performance state-of-art boats. Designed specifically for wakesurfing, wakeboarding and skiing, our boats are designed for the entire family and with water sports in mind. Seating upwards of 14 people, our boats are rented to be used.

Offering day, multi-day and weekly rentals, WakeSurf Boat Rental is structured to fill the gap in the boat rental market.
